Sounds a stressful situation but I’d be telling ford to do one or take you and mobility to court, their problem if they thought it was under warranty and then didn’t seek your permission.
All their fault and problem , don’t give them a penny and stick to your guns .
Ask them for the permission they had to carry out the work !!!
