    Just to update.

We received an email from our dealer today advising that we’ve officially been moved to MY26 with a build week of 15 / 16.

Then, we received a call from the Motability complaints escalation team, and they will not extend the provision of a hire car any further than the 7thof  April, and Europcar will be collecting the vehicle on the 8th.  We live in a rural location with no public transport of any sort, advised them that we were going to have to cancel planned hospital visits and have no way of getting the car and there was no answer to that other than ‘well I’m sorry about that’ when I told her that I would be complaining to my M.P. I was told that it was the same department that deals with those complaints and the outcome would be the same.

On the grant side of things this was there answer in the appeal about range :-

With regards to your concern about the range that can be achieved in the EVs available to you, I fully appreciate that on average EVs are not as capable of completing a long journey as an Internal Combustion Engine vehicle. The range that is possible on EVs is improving more and more as time progresses and should be sufficient for the vast majority of people’s daily mobility needs. As I have highlighted, we must award grants which represent the best value solution and as such we would not be able to increase funding to reduce the frequency with which you must charge/refuel the vehicle.

So all in all not a great day.

    Take Care All
