The two visits in person rule is a pain, with all the technical advances we have you would think FaceTime etc would be acceptable if even lieu of the first visit. I am a carer and I’d be happy to do the first visit on my own but this isn’t allowed either although I do think they have some leniency in exceptional cases.
I think it might be simply the case of is the vehicle suitable for you needs question and if you do not attend the dealership for the first visit, how would they know you’ve had access to the vehicle to know that or even had a test drive and one could then use that to say that they haven’t, so hence the two visit rule.
Me personally I guess it depends on the deal, but often my choice is not based on a deal but the car that suits me best. Was a few deals local to me but the one issue was how long those car are and I needed something this time, around 4.2m long and an EV.
