I think Motability retro fit adaptions policy is you can have them fitted after delivery of a new car but you will have to pay the adaption company the full, unsubsidised price.
Its something I’m wary of because of increased cost of disabled driving I try to cut corners and get cheaper adaption but it can, and does, backfire sometimes. As an instants I’m about to try one of the indicator extension adaption that, if it works, can save me hundreds of £’s each lease. This adaption is free on MB but, although I’ve not finished with my trial, it doesn’t look like its going to work for me.
So with that in mind, had I ordered a car with the free adaption and without knowing if it works or not I would have to go back to MB and ask for the adaption I tried to save money on in the first place, that being about £470 and then have to pay the full price that I believe to be about £1,200.
