    I would disagree, in my opinion this is essential, essentially with ALL the functionality in a lot of cars only being through a central touchscreen, I can easily assess how easy a car will be to use when driving if I can briefly sit in it with the screen active. I’d rather not waste my time going to see a car that looks ok, but when you turn it on the car is just unusable.

    The dash might be the best or worst in the world to use but that’s a secondary issue if you can’t get in or out of it easily, if the seats aren’t comfortable, if a wheelchair or a hoist don’t go in the boot or the back seat, if it just looks plug ugly… seeing lots of different vehicles all in the one place let’s you filter these choices down to one’s you’d like to test drive.

    And at a car show, would you really want the cars to be drivable by anybody and everybody in a hall full of slow moving disabled people.
