I will be giving these extension levers a very close look next time I’m in to renew my car as the Lodgesons were fine and I didn’t mind paying £200 or £300 for the device but now there getting near on £500 for the 7 way. With a lot of cars now shifting there gear switches / levers to the steering column it means going for the 10 way Lodgesons with even more cost. Although a lot of stuff in cars are now automatic there are times when these systems don’t work in some situation and my main concern here is the automatic headlights main and dip beam and while these extension lever take care of the indicators and wipers how do you go about over riding the automatic main beam headlight if and when they fail to react to conditions. Or thinking about it, do these levers handle that too, meaning 3 levers as is my case, main beam, wipers and indicators, or does the indicator extension lever work the main beam too. Might be a funny thing to ask but its been so long since I drove a car using two hands I can’t even remember how or what lever works the main beam. 😁 My current car handles the headlights without any problems but had to add an extra to the car to upgrade the lights to a matrix system so in itself an extra payment to help with my disability driving.

Hi Chris, as you’re nearing renewal I thought I’d let you know that the Wireless Mini Keypad solution I was looking at has worked a treat for nigh on two years now.

Lodgesons secondary controls – price disparity?
