Kezo I’ve got to ask you just your honest opinion on the new budget 48 inch LG B4 Oled at richer sounds £669 ? Yes it doesn’t get as bright as C4 but has very good reviews sorry to go off topic just want your view on this tv many thanks

With nearly all TV manufacturers, most of the tech (if thats the right word) filters down to lower models, as new flagship models come out, which is especially true for WOLED panels as it is QD OLED.

The B4 and the C3  are very similar overall, however the C3 still retains a  slight advantaage, as it as slightly better low quality content smoothing and its viewing angle is a bit better, however the off axis viewing angles are not a major concern for you. The C3 still retains a slight edge on brightness with standard definition tv but, the difference is alot less than if you were comparing last years B3 to the C3, in a similar way if you were comparing C4 would widen the gap if comparing to the B4. The previos years C3 still has a slightly better A9 chipset compared to the B4’s A8 which is now an AI chipset, which is why there still retains a slight difference but not enough to warrant the £300 higher price tag for the C3, which is also available in 48″

Unless you compared them side by side you wouldn’t tell the difference and HD/HDR & 4k films the gap is even closer between them.

I suggest you pop into Richer Sounds and view the B4 with your eyes spend time watching standard tv and a HD film with the shop lights on and off near the TV (best go when its quite) RS still have C3’s available you could view but I bet you wouldn’t tell the difference, certainly not £300 worth.

Would you consider Mini LED, they are much brighter than WOLED and are much closer to OLED than standard LED, as they have lots of groups of LED’s that are able to dim and brighten. Whils’t not every pixel can like OLED and they still suffer bloom compared to OLED they are still pretty damn good and could save you a few bob and worth a look if you pop into RS!

    TCL 50C805K £579

    Philips 55PML9009 (Ambilight) £599

    Samsung QE43QN90D £699
