Somethings not right there charge on a 260 mile round trip? Is that all motorway driving?

I was regularly driving from North Norfolk to Birmingham for son to visit girlfriend and I was driving there, out and about and home.  I stopped for a charge at Kettering which cost me £30 back to 80% but only charged that much as I was eating I could got away with much less I only needed about 40% at that point with a safety margin.

I put the cruise control on and sit in the slow lane mostly move out if speed drops below 50 but otherwise let the car drive itself. It’s nearly all dual carriageway esp after Peterborough and motorway

We regularly do here to theme parks for the teens as have merlin passes that’s 150 miles I do there and back to derby without charging then charge overnight on a 7kw charger for peanuts and go back for second day then home without another stop

Same with Thorpe Park there and head back stop at Royston to charge for under £20 just enough to finish the journey.

I surprised you need to charge at all on a 260 mile return journey unless towing or using a roofbox. Is that in bad weather conditions? Do you use the journey starts at time on the car as it not only heats the interior it heats the battery so you get good miles per kwh from the start.

Sorry it isn’t working for you but I’m really surprised given our experience in our 85x on long journeys
