Enyaq 85x may have prevented your accident that was exactly what happened to me in the ZS so I wanted AWD plus electric so only one choice at the time

A few people have niggles sure and a couple have had real bad problems but loads of us have none as evidenced on the Enyaq thread same as with any car I’ve seen plenty have issue with the Scenic too.

85x has “better” seats I preferred them to the standard ones plus AWD. I don’t know why anyone’s making an issue about “permanent awd” it’s as permanent as you want it to be switch it on not hard it’s on in Sport and Traction modes. We live in a rural area with untreated roads and mud from farm vehicles so the awd has been a God send so far and the car just feel glued to the road. Plus it’s fast too you can be super quick away at junctions leave the idiot boy racers behind without trying much like when I had a V6 Ghia X Mondeo estate lol, loved that car too.

The app is fairly basic can’t lock or unlock sadly but it’s good for most other things esp setting the car to be ready at x time so the cars warm, seats hot, steering wheel hot and battery at operating temp too.

It’s the best car I’ve ever had in over 25 years of driving the range is superb, charging speed at rapids is incredible (11 miles a minute) when at full speed.

I don’t like the tiny instrument cluster much prefer big immersive displays like the Ioniq and Renault but it’s one thing. Wish the 85X had come with the HUD instead of hiding it in a pack too.

I got mine in black and changed the stock bonnet badge to a glossy black one and it looks incredible.

Also without the travel pack the boot is absolutely cavernous. Get luggage and 2 dogs in there or luggage and mobility scooter. Back seat is wide enough for 3 adults altho I wouldn’t want to do a long journey that way it’s comfortable enough for 2x 18 year olds and a 16 year old. There’s a floor tray that lifts out leave in for extra storage or lift put for more foot room for 3.

It’s not perfect but it’s a lot of car for not much money and it basically drives itself too adatlptice cruise control with road sign recognition so it speeds up and slows down with no input is brilliant too and works really well
