If I’m carefull spending it, I may just scrape together enough 15p veg to cover over Xmas.
I bought 3 bags of parsnips and carrots last year, peeled them and froze them, lasted the next 2 months. I don’t bother with the cheap potatoes as I find they’re too watery and not great for roasts. I stick to Maris Piper.
Do you bother blanch them befote freezing? I find cheap spuds aren’t great inside and typically go for Maris Piper or a good red potatoe. I also like sprouts that are still on the stem as I find those last longer.
