Assuming that when you reported the accident to Direct Line Motability you declared your wife as the driver at the time, only she will have to declare it to any other car policy where she is a named driver or policy holder.
If you ever request a claims history from Direct Line Motability it will only show the claim against your wife name, your history will show as clear (subject to no other accidents of course).
