I would just be concerned when the electric ran out and you are under petrol power only. I had the Tiguan All space 150. Lovely motor that just lacked a wee bit in power. 190 is nice in a car of this size. Currently running about in an SD4 Freelander. You do notice the 184bhp, especially when overtaking

you say this but they also do it with just the normal petrol mild hybrid at 150bhp now that id possibly worry about being underpowered.

but modern phevs don’t completely drain they have a reserve and still have enough carry over regeneration to prevent the drastic reduction in power you refer to . Most modern phevs can run completely without plugging in and drive as a self charging hybrid through regenerative driving hits the mpg though. Think back to any time you have coasted in a normal car that’s all free charge plus  some charge from  everything left over from acceleration ect . there are modes on the phev as well so you can charge while driving allowing you to prepare it for when needed.

There is a guy on YouTube that literally test drives phevs ect testing real word mpg at “zero” charge its astonishing how good some cars are now

I recently took a drive with my father in law on the m1 at 80 he was on battery power lol 😆  I was honestly like wtf what sorcery is this 😂  and that was in a 3 year old Toyota auris estate 😅

Honestly if your worried and in the market test drive one, the wait time for deisels is long 😅
