I think people buy electric cars because we are forced to (or will be forced to very soon), until hybrid replaces this technology in 5-10 years time, I doubt (m)any people on Motability are buying electric/PHEV cars to save the planet, it’s all about their needs and what they can afford…

Motability are definately pushing member, especially to electric cars. Not only can be seen by the discrepancy of AP’s but, also the language Motability adopt, which doesn’t reflect the real world scenario.
I’ll go as far as saying, not only is it all about what they can afford but, also the low running costs, that are at the forefront minds before anything to do with saving the planet.
