Using cruise control will activate A mode (auto braking etc.) so regen is then Automatic, hence the A being illuminatedÂ đŸ™‚Â in A mode the paddles do not work.
You must be in DÂ mode with no cruise control being used, then as said above using the – paddle will increase the amount of regen in steps, the + paddle reduces it, stupid I know, you would have thought + would increase the amount and – decrease it.
I did a month using the paddles, then a month each in D and B mode. At the end of it all I found they all gave me about the same miles per kW so now I just use B mode in urban traffic and D in more rural or A roads/dual carriageways or motorways etc.
