Hi, Just after a bit of advise, noticed my seat ateca has a rip in the drivers seat, no idea how this has happened. Rang Seat to see if this is covered under Seat warranty but they cant get the car in to take a look until March. I have found someone local to me who does repairs, are you ok to take your car for work to be done outside of motability / the insurers? Thanks
Officially – No.
If it is a vehicle defect that has caused the rip, then it is down to the main dealer to repair.
If it is user damage – then it is down to a claim via Direct Line Motability Insurance.
Unofficially – if your repairer can make an invisible repair which you are willing to pay for, who is going to know, other than yourself?
