Thanks @kezo. Had that link saved as well but if I parked on pavement out front, the car would get battered by the pedestrians walking past. Nobody parks up on the kerb as the kids on way to school whack them with their scooters/bikes. I emailed the dealership yesterday and they won’t let me cancel. Have arranged to go back on Monday to test drive the actual PHEV and see if I can explain it better in person. Unfortunately, weather is supposed to be awful on Monday so that’s not a good sign of things to come, especially now I’ve come down with a massive chest infection to boot.

They won’t let you cancel is the typical bullshit they spout! You have signed nothing in respect of a contract and if they continue to play harball speak with Motability and tell them to cancel the order.

I home a day early but, did run a test for you over a 320 mile round trip. I left home with 5 miles of EV range left, zero’d all the previous computer setting and set of in Hybrid mode untill 5 miles to my destination to use up remaining 5 electric miles. I did the same again and reset the computer and didn’t bother charge for my return journey. The only difference, was I returned using Auto mode my results as follows-

    Outward journey HEV mode 38.6mpg

    Return journey Auto mode 41.5mpg.

The return jouney mpg wasn’t too disimilar from my previous Tucson which would average 40-42mpg on exactly the same journey and speeds of 60-70mph (maybe a bit more😂) on majority A roads. I would imagine locally it would get better mpg, however I was overall happy with the results.

The above cable mat, is used to run across the pavement and you car remains on the road by the kerbside!
