Dealers are entitled to ask for a deposit but it’s not the norm and best avoided. However, if an order is cancelled a dealer must refund any deposit. At no stage do we enter into a legally binding agreement with a dealer. That only happens between us and Motability Operations when we enter the PIN upon acceptance of the car.
