So, I took a trip to my son’s house in Armagh today, which is 35 miles away. As I was setting off, I decided to try the heater. I whacked up both the temperature and fan to max. (no AC). It started off blowing cold, but then heated up after about a minute or so. When it was up to temperature, I turned the fan down to speed 2 and the temperature to 21. There wasn’t much heat coming out, but it was warm. I then turned up the temperature a half degree at a time and finally decided that 22.5 was good for me. I assigned one of my i-toggle buttons at that temperature for drivers side only. It worked flawlessly there and back. However, on the way there, some other gremlins surfaced… My maps wouldn’t draw on the satnav screen, my voice assistant didn’t work and my phone wasn’t recognised, even though it was in fact connected. When I was leaving, I started the car and everything was functioning normally again!

Out of interest, when I left home, in normal driving mode, my dial was showing 94% battery and 317 miles. When I arrived back home after driving 71 miles, it was showing 72% battery and 210 miles. I went back to the car about 15 minutes later and it had increased showing 73% battery and 216 miles!

I was keeping an eye on the dials and when I passed my friends house, it showed 217 miles left. When I got home, it was showing 210 miles. That’s 7 miles lost whereas I know for a fact that his house is actually 4 miles away. The meter was showing an average of 3.8 miles per kwh for the trip. (I was alone in the car with radio on at a moderate level and the climate as described above, driving carefully (58mph top speed) and on mixed country roads and dual carriageway.
