“ Kia Sportage prices now start at £1699 (up from £999), while the popular 248 bhp ‘GT Line’ Plug-in Hybrid is up from £1849 to £3399 this quarter” “ petrol-powered XC40 ‘Plus Dark’ is now £1000 lower at £1499. A ‘Black Edition’ trim has also been added, priced at £1999.” We are only looking at automatics so I have discounted the Kia as I cannot justify an additional £2k AP. The Volvo XC40 Plus is on top of my reduced shortlist thanks to the q4 increases and removal of certain cars. One of the other options is the Nissan Qashqai. “This quarter Nissan Qashqai models are available to order from £749, down from £999 Advance Payment. Qashqai E-Power Hybrid models start from £1749. Nissan X-Trail models are also better value at £2999 (was £3499), or it’s £3999 if you want a seven-seat version.“

Don’t just look at AP’s, the cost to run over three years is also an important factor. With that said Nissan QQ E-Power, will work out cheaper over the three years, even though you have paid more upfront, compared to the XC40.
