I test drove an ioniq 5 for 2 hours before going for the scenic. It was a lovely car to drive and comfortable. What swung it in the scenic’s favour for me was that with the £250 cashback the AP worked out over £1k less for the scenic. Plus the scenic had a longer range. Although I really liked the ioniq and the cupra born, I didn’t feel the difference was enough to justify the extra £1k or so for the AP and felt I would be perfectly happy to live with the Scenic and have the extra money.
If the AP had been roughly the same then I would have gone for the Born. I wasn’ particularily keen on the looks of the Ioniq.
