Both @Glos-Guy and I have the facelifted Tucson PHEV N Line S and Ultimate, which both sit equally as top trims. In comparison with the Sportage, the Tucson has the the upgraded 72kw electric motor, where as the Sportage retains the older 66kw motor.

I have the N Line S, partly because I had the Ultimate previously but, also the exterior looks better overall however, I regret not going for another Ultimate, if only for the leather seats, rather than the Alacantra in the N Line models.

The standard kit won’t leave you wanting any extra’s, as they have everything you could think of, including heated and ventilated front seats, as well as heated rear seats. The Tech is also very good and easy to use. The 360 camera’s are one of the best quality I have seen and the blind view camera’s that appear in the drivers display is an excellent idea. The HUD is also of great quality.

The electric range is no match for the Scenic or other BEV though, I’m getting 40 miles electric range on a run at 60-70 mph and 34-36 locally due to living in a hilly area. Overall mpg is mid 60’s but it will be more 50’s if you frequent motorways as Glos Guy does.

I do a long run every 3 weeks of upto 430 miles visiting family without the worry of the need to charge, which is what prompted me to have a PHEV, as it gives me the flexibility I want.  The rest of the time other than going away weekends or other holidays, I’m running on 99% electric range, so running costs are next to nothing compared to ICE.
