With the government announcing that vehicles may be taxed on PAYG per mile. How is this going to affect Motability vehicles? Is it the end of free tax through the Motability scheme?
Road fund licence is free for all those receiving PIP higher level mobility regardless of whether they have a motability car or not. Its not a case of motability giving us free road tax. So currently no effect but who knows what the future holds. It should be noted that each person can only register one vehicle at a time with a ‘Disabled Class’ for rfl purposes. So if anyone has a motability car plus a private vehicle only one of them can have the free disabled class.
