I was some distance from a VW dealership when we had our last Tiguan and I absolutely hated going there, as service was so poor. They tried to charge me for an AdBlue top up until I insisted that they phoned Motability to clarify that it should be free of charge. Consequently, after that I did it myself. AdBlue is widely available – even the local independent petrol station in my village now sells it. I can’t recall where I bought it – probably Halfords – but it was dead easy to do. Make sure you buy one that comes with an attachable spout (I think most do). Using that I didn’t spill a drop and it was dead easy – simpler than filling up the windscreen washer fluid! I have to say that I don’t miss having to deal with AdBlue.
