Interesting result, as I expected better if I’m honest! That said, although neither of us are shy on speed, there remains a vast difference in our driving style on longer journey’s, which is you use motorways and I don’t, so able to gain more brake regeneration, at not too disimilar speeds!
However, over the longterm, your local <50 mile journey’s should outweigh the cost of longer journeys. The benifit to your health walking to put it on charge and the Wim Hof effect of doing so on those freezing winter nights 😂
As for your fuel guage, it’s haunted! If it wasn’t quite full from the dealers, the 100 mile difference would (should) have registered on the fuel guage and shown somewhere around three quarters full. I also thing putting the 100 mile extra shown once topped up, a little optimistic for increase in range. Anyhow more importantly, something for you to keep your eye on, incase you have a dickie sender unit.
Interesting comment from @Oscarmax on when to use EV and when to Hev mode on faster roads in the PHEV running cost topic, starting from 5.56pm where I asked a question 🙂
