When switching to sport mode the eco meter (what ever its called) is always replaced with numeric rev counter. When using Auto or EV mode, the eco meter is always displayed.

In the settings menu, you can select the rev counter to always be displayed regardless of driving mode you are in. I’m wondering whether this will be useful to get an idea of whats happening over winter, once the heater is used more. My reasoning here is when the engine starts up and remains running to warm coolant through a diverter valve to provid uick cabin set temperature, at which point the engine turns off, untill the cabin heat needs to be toped up, the engine starts again and the pattern is repeated throughout the journey. Are you folling me up to yet 😂

OK – when the engine starts up to provide this rapid heat, it does so on a high tickover however, the car will display it it driving in hev mode because the engine as started but, this is not the case as you are predominantly driving in electric (providing battery is full enough), which will be shown by the unmatched rev’s compared to the speed you are travelling.

mmm not sure your following that 😂

Equally, having the the rev counter on in thesettings, as you drive down the motorway, might highlight better, when the car is on tickover or the engine is off, which maynot always be seen glancing at the screen or ecometer.

Because the battery never fully depletes, the car is never driving purely on petrol and will always use varying amounts of the battery throughout a journey.

Does that make sense? If not I’m not easily offended😂
