a way of extending the low energy rate for octopus is to have a low state of charge when plugging in the afternoon of the night of charging. If it calculates that it will start charging before 11:30 then as long as it charges the car at the stated times, the rest of the house is on low energy. I don’t do this as I keep the car topped up and have battery storage at home which force charges during stated off peak times. Some people may not realise that if home calculates with octopus a schedule outside of the 11:30 to 05:30, those times are off peak for the whole house 🙂
