VW ID.3 “update” for 2025 model year will have uprated, allegedly “new” power-train (from 150 kW to 175kW) bringing 0-62 time down to 7.1 secs; range will also increase and there will be a lot of new digital gubbins as well. Latest release says that ID.3s ordered now will have to 175kW power rating.
This, at least, is what VW news releases and website stuff tell us. My dealer has been told nothing about this by VW. So, as with all the previous confusing, contradictory and inaccurate data from VW, take it all with a large portion of salt!
Best guess is that it might apply to German registered vehicles only and everyone else will have to buy it as an online upgrade if they’ve got the right online-updatery software on board.
