    It’s not permitted to park on a pavement and charge your car (rightly so), so unless I park on the grass and hope nobody reports it, I’m kind of stuck waiting for a solution to this.

    The suggestion I made you wouldn’t park on the pavement and yourcar would remain on the road. The D Line mat, I suggested would cover the charging cable and prevent it laying loose across the pavement causing a trip hazard. Most local highways dept’s approve its use.

    You could use as a tempory solution untill OH got their @r$e in gear.

    A more expensive but, permanent solution would be have kerbocharge installed across the pavement however, this costs around £1,000 supply and fit, but their are often discounts from local authorities / highways. Its still a lot less than paying to have a drive installed unless you can get a DFG grant. @Phaedra has recently had kerbocharge installed.
