Can I charge my car without the Ohme app?
Yes – without the Ohme app, your charger will simply not be linked to an account and will operate in ‘plug and charge’ mode. Meaning that when you plug in, Ohme will start charging your car instantly until it’s full or you unplug it. Ohme will also follow any settings configured in your car, such as charging schedules or battery caps.
I think I will delete the Ohme app next time I visit and let them charge the car through the car’s app or set a level of charge 80–90% on the car and tell them to just plug in and let the car stop charging, when the level is met. Still doesn’t solve the limited 3.7kW charge rate though!
