Miles covered so far – 2351 – cost £55.80 (725kw) home charging and £10 for public charging (an experiment to see how it worked but at those prices, I won’t be returning any time soon! )
tariff OCTOPUS GO
If my math which is notoriously bad is close, its cost me 0.027p per mile.
Octopus go allows us to set the dishwasher, washing machine and bread maker to run at night. We have an inflatable hot tub which we couldn’t use because it cost too much. octopus go allows us to use it now as we heat the tub at nightWe have solar at home with battery storage and will fill our batteries during the night allowing octopus to buy our electric from excess solar at double the price we buy it at during sunny days.
Octopus give “greener day” points which you collect and can exchange them for bill credits. really small amounts but every little helps.
My driving style is traditional. I have my heated seat on all the time for my back. I have climate control on most of the time, listen to the internet radio and drive using different modes. I don’t bother trying to make the range longer at the cost I’ve had to pay so far. My view is that the whole car is for using and enjoying. I do drive in B mode most of the time as it saves me spending ages cleaning brake dust off my wheels!!
