@Dave G I’m glad that our ramblings have been of some use 😂 Re the facelifted Tucson, a panoramic sunroof is standard on the N Line S and Ultimate models. You don’t have to get a plug-in hybrid if you aren’t keen on the whole electric thing. The mild hybrid (which is essentially just a petrol car) is £3,899. The full hybrid (which you don’t ever need to plug in) is just £100 more though and would be much cheaper to run.

In addition to the panoramic sunroof, the Ultimate has leather seats, electrically operated seats with electric lumbar adjustment both sides, 2 position memory and easy access function on the drivers side, keyless entry, premium hifi, head-up display, matrix LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, heated steering wheel, heated rear seats, 360 degree camera, smart tailgate, 3 zone climate control, power food door mirrors, privacy glass, adaptive cruise control, wireless charging and a full suite of safety systems, including brilliant blind spot cameras that display side views in the instrument cluster, to name just the highlights of the standard equipment. Admittedly it’s no BMW, but you’d be looking at around £5k of options on a BMW (or VW these days) to match that. It’s not a 7 seater, but does have a big boot. I’m not on commission with Hyundai, nor am I a particular fan of their cars, but it strikes me that it might fit your requirements and preferences, as it has done with us. You can also get one in a couple of weeks, so none of the 4-6 month lead times that many manufacturers have.
