You are the driver and in control of the car. Safety is your responsibility irrespective of the driving aids used.
Absolutely this, as long as you can predict what the car will do. It’s when it decides it’s going to adjust your driving from absolutely nowhere.
I’ve had the HI5 try to put me in a hedge a couple of time at a decent speed and corrected me on a higher speed corner which should have been fine until it decided to add steering causing all sorts of body roll and grip issues. First time I’ve been in a car that caused its own anti crash measures to kick in. Normally I’m more than a surprised passenger.
Now the start up routine includes turning it off.
