Robert88 – I’ve learnt a lot during this process! Originally when I walked into Volvo I was expecting a stock car which was suggested over the phone. The dealer only told me it had to be a factory order once we had filled in the paperwork and he went off to his office. This was his first motability order on the 4th December. He then quoted 3 month lead time. I then thought, oh all cars must be factory orders for motability. Now I realise you can get quick cars from other dealers.
As I had no transport I should have walked away then as I’d been quoted 1 month from Lexus ( thought this would have turned into factory order on ordering) and I’d removed VW because the automatically quoted 7 months.
I didn’t want to wait 8 months with hire car, taxis and standing on packed trains 🤷♀️
