@V8Bart Maybe it’s Manufacturers offering motability better discounts on cars they find harder to shift. Electric cars have barriers, not limited to but including peoples conceptions and high price. I think it makes demand lower but traditional fuel vehicles are easier to shift and so manufacturers may be reluctant to offer such incentives. I still find it hard to believe I am driving around in what is a 50k car that only asks for a £1500 deposit and £71 a week rental. I wouldn’t get that deal anywhere else. What needs to be broken down now is the barriers to electric car ownership which involves lots of moving components- not just prices but infrastructure, home charging for those who don’t own or have on street parking and also I think the prices for public charging should be regulated to make it more competitive..
