    I looked at the 330e but dismissed it for 3 reasons. Firstly, I’m struggling to get in and out of my current 3 series which is also the reason why I haven’t gone for an i4. Secondly, when the electricity runs out I’m left with the same engine as my current 3 series but with more weight so less economy. Finally, to get the spec I want it would cost me over £10k up front which is ridiculous for a car that I have to hand back after 3 years. Like Glos Guy says, that’s an outlay of around £25k for a car that you’ll never own.

    I’m liking the idea of a PHEV and can see the sense of one but, only if the price/AP was right.

    Local journeys and school runs coud be done cheaply in electric mode, if the battery runs low, it will switch to hybrid mode or can switch to hybrid mode on longer journery’s.

    However, nearly £25k on a car I will never own makes no sense at all over an equivulent petrol only model.
