Do you think the installer was full of ? I very nearly became a spark. I passed the apprenticeship test in the 80’s for a big company, think they were called Baileys. There were about 50 of us in a school hall taking the test. I decided to do A levels instead.

Did my apprenticeship at Michelin, moved on to what is now the national grid and then started my own company and employing a small number later on. Mostly stayed in the realms of industrial, commercial and security (cctv etc) and in the last decade commercial charge points, solar and now I’m ready for the knackers yard lol. I also use to help my uncle, when school age who owned a Pansonic repair centre and gained my electronics certification early on, which helped to pay for my racing years.

As for the bloke talking ? I reckon so mate. You have only got to look at the national average pay for sparks and we all know what happens the further north you get. Check a Trade and all them will give you idea’s of pay but, other ttrades have caught up if not surpassed domestic sparks lately. Its not as it once was.
