I thought £65k a year for a salaried spark was pretty good, maybe I should retrain!

I very nearly became a spark. I passed the apprenticeship test in the 80’s for a big company, think they were called Baileys. There were about 50 of us in a school hall taking the test. I decided to do A levels instead.
