I read on one of the Skoda forums that there was an issue with the Canton subwoofer in some if the Superbs & Octavias The problem was the wiring plug to the subwoofer had been assembled incorrectly, basically back to front. They corrected the fault by flipping the connector plug 180deg so the wiring was the right way around!
Maybe worth mentioning & checking the wiring if you can source a diagram?
