I’ve got an 5 series m sport tourer 140k on the clock, ( obviously not on motability) pricy for parts when anything goes but it’s a great car. I’ve kept it long past any other car I’ve owned as it just keeps going and feels large and safe and well built. Conversely when this awfulness initially descended on me and I’d become disabled I’d just taken delivery of a 3 series sport tourer which was so uncomfortable and painful to drive I swapped it for a Prius.
