I tested my brother in law’s new Enyaq for nearly an hour yesterday , an 85 with
ecosuite, and I must say that I was very impressed, and there is no wonder that it is attracting so much interest on the forum!
It is well put together, quite quick quiet and smooth , with loads of room , and a fair bit of kit on board- I don’t know the range but I estimated that it was doing around 150 miles between charges?
Altogether a nice roomy car,which is heading the list for my next change (which can’t be ordered until August 2005, )assuming that the AP’s are realistic?
In the meantime (as we travel longish distances each month, the wife was not keen on the EV range between top up’s) I have a QQ ePower, a sort of’ half way house’ in that it has a 100% electric drive, giving an EV type of driving experience, ie smooth ,quiet, instantly responsive, but with the battery being charged by a petrol ICE, rather than having to be’ plugged in’ & with absolutely no range anxiety, as the ice can be topped up at any fuel station, just like any other car?
