Hello,Phaedra the Ohme charger is Ip 55 rated i.e.. IP55 = Limited protection from dust, low-pressure water jets from any direction and against damp and wet weather. I would advise not to cover with a plastic container unless completely water tight as this may cause partial submerging and contact with standing water.
