When I had my 2018 1.4TSi  6-speed DSG Kodiaq, I was getting on average 28-30mpg local driving, and 45mpg on long runs. I’m never surprised when people seem disappointed when they see the mpg rate, it’s a 1.7 ton breeze block on wheels.  It’s the exact opposite of people who buy a sports car then complain about the boot being too small!    If you are looking at getting either the Kodiaq or Tarraco(which isn’t on the scheme at this moment), then you will be looking for a vehicle with a huge loading capacity, and ease of access.  Sadly, a breeze block on wheels won’t give you plenty of miles to the gallon, but it’ll give you a huge boot. Unfortunately we can’t have both.
