@Clair I don’t understand why you were told, you had terminated your lease early, as you were already in a lease extension! Whils’t a total of £700 (350+250+100) GCB was correct, as you didn’t quite reach a full 5yr lease, I’m confused why you were told this. @BigDave would you mind having a quick read over this topic, incase I’m missing something
I have to admit it has really puzzled me. But if you had the exact same scenario with your vehicle handback after 4 years 6 months, this must be the rates they are now using (I’m just glad I found somebody else who has such a similar experience to be honest!) but I do wish this information was accessible on their website.
I can only assume they used the term early termination in relation to the fact that I had not completed the full 5 years, so would not be awarded the full £550 GCB.
It was of course originally a 3 year lease, but I had phoned them near the end of year 3 to request it be run to 5 years as I liked the car so much and the advance payments on the Tiguan had gone through the roof by then.
The main thing I can take away from this is that it clearly isn’t just an error or oversight with my case (the payment description of ‘one-off refund’ didn’t help matters!) as I was fortunate enough to find and join this forum and discover at least one other person that had experienced an almost identical situation 🙂
