I think if we did go down the route of requiring minimum spec etc we’d probably find the choice of vehicles on the scheme suddenly a lot smaller as manufacturers just wouldn’t supply models purely for Motability customers and gone are the days of vast pools of cars in the UK to pick from and all are just in time now.
The bells and whistles aren’t always necessary but there’s a vast difference in use between customers that we all need to take into consideration, some only doing 20,000 miles or less in three years and local driving and some 20,000 a year with long distances involved, it’s then a lot of the bells and whistles are handy.
