I’d just take it if the car has runflats. @Glos Guy has an X1. Hopefully he can tell you whats he has.
My X1 is the newer facelift model, which looks different from the one in the photo. I can’t look at mine now as the car is in the UK and I am not, but having had a puncture recently (because the car unfortunately doesn’t have run flats) I know that there is a tool kit in the boot that contains a pump, can of gunk, towing eye, alloy wheel locking key. Maybe something else.
Personally I wouldn’t be removing items from a car when returning it, especially items that relate to safety. That’s not something that my conscience could live with.
