I sense the agony of the decision with some of you, but whether you guys end up with a Sport or an M-Sport, you will still have a cracking looking car! If any of you are going to be new to BMW you are in for a real treat when it comes to the balance between performance and handling (I’d usually include economy in that balance, but my experience is petrol and diesel BMWs having only driven one BMW EV – the iX1 30e X-Line). Build quality is also superb. There are a few BMW haters who pop up on this forum from time to time (usually with little or no first hand experience, just prejudice against them) but I can assure you that you get what you pay for with a BMW.
Sadly, I think that the i4 won’t be suitable for us, as my wife has a wheelchair and we also need a higher seating position, but I won’t rule it out until we’ve looked at one. My ideal choice would be an X3 but the chances of that appearing are remote so maybe the new X2 could be an option. I suspect that will appear later this year. I’d prefer petrol over electric, but will consider an EV if that’s the only option.
