You’re not allowed to fit anything that is considered a modification to the car. That includes hard wiring a dash cam stuck to your windscreen never mind one built into the car. You are only allowed to run a dash cam off an accessory socket.
Is this really true?
Front & rear dash cams (NextBase hardwired) are safety devices, and have been used in evidence of non-fault insurance claims (through Motability insurance).
There are far too many idiots on the road who have no insurance, to not have a dash cam…
