With regards to protecting the Environment, Zeekr a Chinese company have just launched their first mass produced BEV. For once this vehicle can be truly regarded as a game changer as the battery is Lithium Iron Phosphate which does not contain the very expensive and rare metals like Nickel, Cobalt or Manganese.as well as being non toxic. It has been tested by exposing the Battery to heat of 1,000 degrees Centigrade for 8 hours and -48C for 48 hours. In both cases the battery worked as before. The standard range battery delivers 428 miles range and the long range 540 miles. For @ Elliot the top range model does 0-62 in 2.84 Seconds and is capable of charging from 10 to 80% in 15 minutes. Unfortunately the standard range only completes 0-62 in 5.4 seconds so bit slow for you lol.

The standard single motor model starts at $29,475 and top range Dual motor $42,300 in china. I believe this model, the Zeekr 007 ticks pretty much all the boxes, especially if they are allowed to sell it at a similar price in the rest of the World as in China [Europe has already started to complain of heavily state subsidised Chinese cars flooding the market].

At the very least the technology and performance is a game changer.
