Hi Missingsound the Enyaq was the best solution overall as I was set on electric again for various reasons. I wouldn’t rule electric out without a parking space but it’d take a bit of thinking about.
In your case without electric have you considered an ICE powered Berlingo? The spec is pretty reasonable with a super low rear boot sill and the boot itself is excellent for dogs. There’s both diesel and petrol options.
There’s also the Tucson and Citroen C5 Aircross both of which are ok for dogs.
I’m going to go order tomorrow, just in case, life has a habit of kicking you in the balls so knowing my luck the Enyaq will get pulled on the 1st lol.
That way if something else appears (Ssangyong Torres EVX I’m looking at you) we can always cancel and reorder same if Enyaq prices go down if need be.
After swearing off black cars the 3008 hire car we have is in black (can’t believe GT trim doesn’t have heated seats) and with tinted rear windows it looks great so we’re going for the Enyaq in black.
Thanks to all of you for the comments and suggestions. I’m really glad we got there in the end and hopefully this highlights to anyone else at a later date that you can go back to Motability with supportive arguments and ask for more even if it does make you feel a bit awkward.
