    The 20 fossil’s are in a different class than the heavier edrive20 models. Personally I look at the edrive20 as the underpowered outgoing q4 etron.

    Most of my previous BMWs were 2.0 litre and 3.0 litre diesels, and the only two petrol BMWs that I’d had in the past were 3.0 litre and 4.4 litre, so the 2.0 petrol was a gamble for me, but it’s an absolutely superb engine. It’s virtually silent, extremely quick when you need it to be and amazingly economical. I easily get into the 40s mpg which gives me a range of around 600 miles, so it’s all the benefits of a diesel with the refinement of a petrol. I’d get another car with this engine in a heartbeat and would much prefer it over a BEV, but I can’t see this choice coming to Motability. If we leave the scheme, the engine is also available in the X3 ?
